1. Who is responsible for your information?
The data controller is Marcin Mochilewski, trading as Fryvena, 135 Ivy House Road, Oldbury, B69 1HG, United Kingdom.
For privacy enquiries, email hello@fryvena.com.
2. Information we collect
- Your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address and telephone number when you order.
- Products ordered, order history, payment status, transaction references, returns and refunds.
- Account details if you create a customer account.
- Messages, photographs and other information you provide when contacting us about a product, return or warranty claim.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser information and server logs, used to operate and protect the website.
We receive information directly from you and, where relevant, from payment providers, delivery services and sales platforms in connection with your purchase.
We need the information marked as required at checkout to process and deliver your order. Without it, we may be unable to complete your purchase.
3. How and why we use your information
Orders and customer service: to process payments, deliver purchases, send order updates and manage returns and warranty requests. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you or taking steps at your request before a contract.
Legal records: to meet applicable accounting, tax and other legal obligations. Our legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
Security and business administration: to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, respond to general enquiries and establish or defend legal claims. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, balanced against your rights.
We do not currently operate a newsletter. If we introduce optional marketing or technologies requiring consent, we will explain their use and obtain consent where required.
4. Payments through PayPal
PayPal processes payments made using its services. Information needed for the transaction, such as your order amount and relevant contact and address details, is shared with PayPal.
We receive payment confirmations and transaction references. We do not receive your PayPal password or full card details through the PayPal checkout.
PayPal also processes personal information for its own purposes under its Privacy Statement.
5. Who we share information with
Where necessary, we share relevant information with:
- Website hosting, email and technical service providers, including Hostinger, supporting our WordPress and WooCommerce website.
- Payment providers, including PayPal.
- Couriers and delivery partners handling your order or return.
- Professional advisers and public authorities where necessary for legal, accounting or regulatory purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. Purchases and interactions on third-party marketplaces or social platforms are also subject to those platforms’ privacy policies.
6. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer is subject to UK international transfer rules, appropriate safeguards or another permitted transfer mechanism are required, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as the basket, checkout, customer login and security. PayPal may also use technologies when you interact with its services.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel. If we introduce optional cookies requiring consent, we will ask before using them.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop from working.
8. How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Retention depends on applicable accounting and tax requirements, order fulfilment, returns, the duration of relevant warranty obligations and legal claim periods. Enquiries and technical records are retained according to their ongoing customer-service or security value.
Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. Contact us for details about a particular record.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use, object to processing or receive certain information in a portable format.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some rights are subject to conditions and legal exceptions.
To make a request, email hello@fryvena.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Complaints
Please contact us if you have concerns about how we use your information. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or use of personal information changes. The latest version will appear on this page with its updated date.
12. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA through our PayPal payment integration to detect automated activity and help prevent payment fraud. The service processes technical and interaction information, which may include your IP address, browser and device details, and activity relevant to assessing whether a request is automated. It also uses cookies or similar technologies for security.
Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in protecting our customers, website and payment facilities against fraud and abuse.
Fryvena is the data controller for information submitted through this integration. Google processes reCAPTCHA customer data on our behalf under the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Processing may involve transfers outside the UK, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.
For information about Google’s processing arrangements, see the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. For privacy requests relating to our use of reCAPTCHA, contact hello@fryvena.com.
